Tīna Pētersone

Independent Curator, Riga, Latvia

Tīna Pētersone is an independent curator based in Riga, Latvia. Her practice spans exhibitions, performances, and collective projects, often starting from what’s missing – in context or content – and working from that absence to make new collaborations and relationships possible.

She is a co-founder of Riga Art Week and a curator for Liepāja 2027, European Capital of Culture, where she develops contemporary art commissions. Her recent independent projects include HA by Jana Jacuka (Times New York, 2026), Eternal Return by Emilija Škarnulytė (Riga Art Week, 2025), Aftermath by Nelly Agassi (Kim? Contemporary Art Centre, 2025), Selling Out (Ljubljana Art Weekend, 2024), and Field of Vision (Zuzeum, 2023).

Her practice has been shaped by residencies and fellowships with Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris), Hyde Park Art Center (Chicago), Performa Biennial (New York), and the Curatorial Program for Research (Nordics), as well as the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts. She holds an MFA in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and focuses on creating lasting connections between the Baltic region and wider artistic communities.
