The next exhibition of graphic artist Tiina Kivinen opens in Oslo, Norway. The exhibition can be seen in Kunstverket Galleri from September 5 on. The art pieces displayed are part of collection called Close your eyes and a second goes by.

Executed by techniques of metal graphic, the art pieces examine the tensions between sensitivity and strength, time and movement among other things. The technique of mezzotint takes time to prepare and serves as a way of rebellion against hurry. The sensitive line of dry point balances the strong surface of mezzotint. Kivinen wants to give mystery to her work. The audience is allowed to stop by the pieces and make their own interpretation.

Tiina Kivinen was the first visual artist to receive the Queen Sonja Nordic Art Award in 2012.

The exhibition has been supported by Frame Visual Art Finland.

Tiina Kivinen’s exhibition Close your eyes and a second goes by is open to public from September 5 till October 5 in Kunstverket Galleri, Oslo, Norway.
