Book launches and talks events in The Netherlands in June

This June, Frame is co-organising three events in The Netherlands. Islands of Kinship programme culminates with a seminar and a book launch in The Hague. Frame Curatorial Research Fellow Soph Boobyer participates in the opening weekend of Van Abbemuseum’s exhibition Soils in Eindhoven. De Appel in Amsterdam hosts a launch event for Falling In, Frame’s new publication on curatorial research.

Islands of Kinship: Symposium and book launch

On Friday, 14 June 2024 the Islands of Kinship network is organizing a symposium  Language Matters: Accessible and Inclusive Communication in Art Spaces at Stroom Den Haag, The Hague. The event focuses on accessibility in art institutions, especially on the role of language and communication.

The full-day event programme brings together professionals with various specializations, including workshops by Isa Hukka and Paulina Seyfried and artist talks and screenings by Alžběta Bačíková and Sarah van Lamsweerde.

The event concludes from 6–7 pm with the launch of the publication Islands of Kinship: A Collective Manual for Sustainable and Inclusive Art Institutions, the outcome of a project interconnecting six visual art institutions across Europe.
