Frame distributes funds from the Ministry of Culture and Education to promote Finnish contemporary arts internationally. A total of 167,000 euros will be awarded in grants in 2025, which is about a third less than last year.
The decisions based on the May–August 2025 travel grant rounds are now published on Frame’s website. The grants were awarded for international contemporary art projects featuring Finnish and Finland-based artists in 2025.
A total of 17,842 euros were awarded in grants among 23 applicants in Frame’s August 2025 travel grant application round. The decisions concern 28 artists and 4 art professionals. We received 170 travel grant applications altogether with a total applied sum of € 302 296.
Frame’s grants support international exhibitions, publications, participation in art fairs, and art professionals’ international travels. Grant decisions are based on peer review assessments.
