Sami Lukkarinen’s solo show titled Like exhibits a selection of the artist’s new paintings. The oil paintings have been inspired by profile pictures used in Facebook and other social media platform. In his work, Lukkarinen has translated the digital pixels into oil paintings.
An artist book also titled Like was published by the gallery to accompany the new exhibition. The catalogue features photographs and an interoduction to the artist’s work and an essay and artist ionterview by curator, Ph.D. Leevi Haapala.
