Frame Contemporary Art Finland is looking for an associate programme curator

Frame Contemporary Art Finland is looking for an Associate Programme Curator to plan and manage Frame’s new public programme during 2019 in collaboration with Frame’s Head of Programme Jussi Koitela.

The new programme framework will be published in January 2019, comprising autumn gathering, public events, peer-to-peer learning sessions and publications.  The Associate Programme Curator’s main responsibilities are editorial and research work for publications and events as well as selected managerial tasks.

The job will start on 1 February 2019, spanning between February–May and August–September 2019. The position is part-time (50 % of full working hours). Exact working times will be agreed individually with chosen applicant. Monthly salary is € 1250.

Tasks

The Main tasks of the Associate Programme Curator include managing day-to-day operations, publication editing, organising public events and curatorial research.

What we expect from successful applicants should have:

  • Curatorial and managerial experience within the contemporary art field;
  • Knowledge of contemporary art, artistic practices and critical discourses in Finland and internationally;
  • Some experience in editorial work
  • Managerial and communication skills;
  • Fluent spoken and written English language
