Falling Trees exhibition opens to the public today as part of the 55th International Art Exhibition la Biennale di Venezia

The Finnish falling Trees exhibition opens to the public today as part of the Venice Biennial. The exhibition consists of two exhibitions by Terike Haapoja (at the Nordic Pavilion) and Antti Laitinen (at the Finnish Alvar Aalto Pavilion). Falling trees is curated bu Gruppo 111 (curators Harri Laakso, Mika Laakso and Marko Karo). This is the very first time when Finland is hosting exhibitions both at the Nordic Pavilion and the Finnish Alvar Aalto Pavilion at the same time.

The exhibition opening was held on Thursday 29th of may at the Biennale Giardini. The exhibition was opened by director of Frame foundation Raija Koli, the artists and the curators alongside with City of Helsinki’s deputy mayor Ritva Viljanen, and Finnish ambassador in Rome Petri Tuomi-Nikula.

The exhibition and the Venice Biennial are open to the public from June 1st to 24th of November 2013.
