Arvid van der Rijt has been selected as Frame’s new Senior Advisor for International Networks. Starting on 1 March 2026, the position is permanent.
Arvid van der Rijt has worked at Frame since 2023, first as a Programme Assistant and then as a Programme Coordinator, overseeing Frame’s programmes for art professionals, including the international visitor programme.
Prior to joining Frame, van der Rijt has worked for over two decades as an artist and cultural worker, engaging in international collaboration and network-building across the contemporary art field in Finland and abroad. Since relocating to Finland from the Netherlands, van der Rijt co-founded artist-run initiative Filmverkstaden in 2010 and acted as a board member and chairperson for Platform artist residency, both located in Vaasa, Finnish Ostrobothnia.
The Senior Advisor is responsible for Frame’s core programmes for art professionals, such as expert visits to Finland, curator residencies, and international study trips. The role involves close collaboration with both Finnish and international partners.

This is a new role at Frame and reflects the organisation’s ongoing strategy work. The role supports Frame’s aim to build sustainable international networks and serve the needs and aspirations of the Finnish art scene, in active dialogue with its actors.
