New colleagues at Frame

As autumn begins, we have had new colleagues join the Frame office. Please join us in welcoming communications assistant Aapo Laakso and programme assistant Emma Johansson to the team!

Emma Johansson is a cultural worker and artist who has worked in illustration, visual communication, and museum and art education in Finland, the Netherlands and Chile. Emma holds a Master of Arts degree in Visual Communication Design from Aalto University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, in the Netherlands. As programme assistant, she works as part of Frame’s programme team, coordinating international expert visits and other ongoing projects.

Communications assistant Aapo Laakso supports Frame’s day-to-day communications, including social media, website content and communications related to Frame’s programmes. Aapo is currently completing his bachelor’s degree in the History and Theory of Contemporary Art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Uniarts Helsinki. Alongside his studies, he serves as chair of the board of the online publication Nyyh and has written several catalogue texts for exhibitions by students at the Academy of Fine Arts. Before joining Frame, he has worked for several years as a software developer.

We look forward to working on upcoming projects with our new team members!
