Frame’s Pop-up Office is a four-year-long project wherein Frame travels to different parts of Finland to set up a temporary branch office for two days.
During the visit, we meet with a broad range of operators from the local contemporary art field. We have discussions with museums, galleries and artists about international activities and needs for improvement of the sector. Frame’s Pop-up offices are a part of the nationwide development work of the contemporary art sector in Finland.
Frame works in collaboration with local art institutions and artist associations to organise grant consulting and portfolio meetings.
Pop-up Office in Seinäjoki and Vaasa
The Pop-up Office in Seinäjoki will be held on 16 November and in Vaasa between 17 and 18 November 2022. In both cities, the Frame team will meet operators from the local contemporary art field. A general advising session for artists and individual portfolio meetings and grant clinics will be held in Vaasa on Friday 18 November.
On Friday 18 November at 9.15 am, Frame will host a two-hour advising session at Vaasan Taiteilijaseura (Korsholmanpuistikko 6, 65100 Vaasa, barrack area, kasarmi 13). During the session, Frame’s Grants coordinator Jaakko Uoti will provide guidance on the grant application process, Head of Communications Rosa Kuosmanen will share insights for successful communications and Head of Programme Jussi Koitela will focus on best practices in portfolio building and presentation.
After the advising session, artists are invited to participate in individual portfolio meetings and grant clinics (15 minutes/artist). Registration is required and we will confirm the appointment times by email.
