Helsinki Biennial Preview Programme 2025

Frame is a partner of Helsinki Biennial 2025. We collaborate with HAM Helsinki Art Museum and Helsinki Biennial 2025 in arranging the professional preview programme on 6–8 June 2025.

Frame Contemporary Art Finland is a partner of Helsinki Biennial 2025. The collaboration aims to strengthen the international recognition and networks of the Finnish contemporary art scene.

Helsinki Biennial 2025 brings together 37 artists and collectives on Vallisaari Island, in Esplanade Park, and at HAM Helsinki Art Museum. Titled Shelter: Below and Beyond, Becoming and Belonging, and curated by Kati Kivinen and Blanca de la Torre, this year’s edition runs from 8 June to 21 September 2025.

Frame collaborates with HAM Helsinki Art Museum and Helsinki Biennial 2025 in arranging the professional preview programme on 6–8 June 2025. The professional programme includes a diverse range of exhibitions, discussions, events, guided tours, and meetings with artists and curators. It brings together art institutions, such as museums, galleries, and independent art spaces, offering visitors a comprehensive overview of the local artistic scene.

Frame hosts a group of international curators for the preview week in the context of the Frame Visitor Programme. The visitor programme at the preview week is organised in partnership with the Finnish Institute in Germany, the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland, the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux, the Finnish-Norwegian Cultural Institute, The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark, and in collaboration with AV-arkki – the Centre for Finnish Media, Kohta, Bioart Society, Pitted Dates, and Galleria Huuto.

The Helsinki Biennial preview programme is available for accredited guests. Please see more information here or contact Helsinki Biennial at preview@hamhelsinki.fi.
