Flow Festival, Demos Helsinki, Slush, Music Finland and Frame present Flow Talks Lunch Sessions
Flow Talks Lunch Sessions are easy-going gatherings of the curious class: people who understand the need for synergies between artists, activists, entrepreneurs, professionals and governments. Flow Talks are arranged during Flow Festival in August.
Visual arts and participation
On Saturday 9 August Frame Visual Art Finland presents a panel focused on art. Visual art and participation brings together a number of inspiring artists: Adel Abidin, Egs, Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen, Heta Kuchka, Jani Leinonen, Nutty Tarts (Tärähtäneet ämmät) and Vesa-Pekka Rannikko who will discuss the role of participation and social commentary in visual arts.
Today visual arts have spread from galleries and museums to public space and developed ways of interacting with a variety of audiences. A number of inspiring Finnish artists discuss the role of participation and social commentary in visual arts through their own projects that challenge the way we see the world.
The session is chaired by Raija Koli, Director of Frame Visual Art Finland.
On Friday 8 August the program is presented by Flow Festival, Demos and Slush. Demos’ main theme will be Maker City, Slush presents two discussions themed When music meets tech and Building up your revenue. Music Finland hosts the keynote panel on The battle of the indie label greats on Satuday.
