First grant decisions of 2025 published

Frame distributes funds from the Ministry of Culture and Education to promote Finnish contemporary arts internationally. Frame’s grants support international exhibitions, publications, participation in art fairs, and art professionals’ international travels.

The decisions based on the November-December 2024 grant rounds are now published on Frame’s website. The grants were awarded for international contemporary art projects featuring Finnish and Finland-based artists in 2025.

A total of 68,630 euros were awarded in grants among 22 applicants in Frame’s November 2024 project grant application round. We received 73 applications altogether.

A total of 22,850 euros were awarded in grants among 19 applicants in Frame’s November-December 2024 travel grant application round. We received 99 applications altogether.

Grant decisions are based on peer review assessments.

Our current project grant call is open until Monday 31 March 2025. Travel grants can be applied continuously. A total of 167,000 euros will be awarded in grants in 2025, which is about a third less than last year.
