Frame welcomes you to meet Andrea Monti, co-founder of Microscope Gallery, and Sam Wilson, co-director and founder of Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, on Tuesday 29 September, from 5 to 7 pm at our office in Töölö (Töölönkatu 11 A, Helsinki).
Andrea Monti and Sam Wilson are visiting Helsinki in the context of NADA x Finland 2026 Residency, organised by the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York (FCINY), the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), and the Consulate General of Finland in New York.
The residency gives New York-based galleries a chance to explore Helsinki’s cultural scene, visit artists’ studios, and tour the museums and institutions in Finland’s capital.
At the event at Frame, FCINY’s Director of Programs Klaudia Ofwona Draber will present the residency collaboration with NADA and how it aims to create opportunities for New York galleries to connect with Finnish artists and institutions. Andrea Monti and Sam Wilson will introduce their galleries and plans for the visit in Helsinki.
The presentation is followed by an informal gathering over refreshments. The event is open to all to participate.

Biographies
Sam Wilson is the owner and founding director of Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. He co-founded the gallery with two fellow artists in 2004 in a small storefront space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Initially operating as a weekends-only project space, the gallery grew under the direction of its three owners into a full-time operation representing artists from across the United States and internationally. The gallery relocated to Manhattan in 2011, moving from the Lower East Side to Tribeca in 2022. Wilson’s background is in the studio arts. He holds a BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and has taught courses at RISD and New York University. He has also served as a visiting critic and lecturer at colleges, universities, and residency programs throughout the United States.
Andrea Monti is a curator, artist, and the co-founder/co-director of Microscope Gallery, a contemporary art gallery presenting works by emerging to pioneering artists with an emphasis on moving image, sound, performance, and digital art. In addition to the gallery’s exhibitions, Monti co-curates screenings, performances, readings, and artist talks through a weekly event series. Through the gallery, he has also organized events in collaboration with institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and Centre Pompidou in Paris, among others. Monti lives and works in New York.
